Broadcom always seems to have trouble on Linux from my experience. If you have a wired connection you should be able to get the drivers.

This is true. Wired connectivity worked OOTB then I just had to install the Broadcom drivers.
The package is called linux3XX-broadcom-wl Where XX is the number of the kernel you are using.
Code: [Select]
~/ uname -r
3.15.3-1-MANJARO
so you would run
Code: [Select]
sudo pacman -S linux315-broadcom-wl
OOPS I NEED SOME COFFEE.... I was half asleep when I responed. I thought this was manjaro related. My apologies.

Surely on Xubuntu that would be:

Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install linux315-broadcom-wl
sorry to pick on your post Boss, but this one isn't manjaro/arch related ;)

Cheer!

I agree. But I tried to install that package on Lubuntu... it doesn't exist in the repos. so maybe we need another package on Ubuntu-bases instead OR a PPA.

Hey Matthew! I am one of those that Manjaro doesn't work any of my systems at the moment. Most of my machines are Legacy and I really like your Xubuntu Respin. Looks great! I will give it a whirl soon with a review if that is ok with you? I miss my Manjaro but until they fix their installer to include my machines I have to make due with what will work. Thanks for this video. Keep up the great work.
Sincerely, Fishman

Will or can you fix the Xubuntu bugs like you reported in your review of Xubuntu 14.10 www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkIWArfBq_4&list=UUVTlmFfclZsEj_Wo5P_3YRQhttp:// in your next update of your remix?

(I wasn't sure if I should make a new message or new topic or modify again. I hope this is correct. :-[ )

Coastie, Please reread the rules, as double posting is not allowed on this forum. As a moderator I must place a small infraction against your account for this offence and I have merged the two posts for you. In the future, if you would like to make two posts one after another please use the modify button and add in the second post at the end of your first.

... as double posting is not allowed on this forum. ...

Sorry did not know I was double posting. :(

I tried to delete the first one but could not figure out how. Next time, I will just use the modify function.

What is a " a small infraction against your account" and how do I get it off?

Coastie, thank you for understanding. As far as getting the infraction off goes, I would talk to Spatry, as I don't have the power to remove it. Something as small as this though, I wouldn't pay much attention to (just make sure that it doesn't happen again, as the infraction doubles for the second offence and then doubles again for the third and so on).
