Rooted Android Phones?
« on: March 07, 2014, 11:59:57 AM »
I still use a flip-phone, but I've borrowed a de-activated Sprint Droid phone to mess around with.  I've heard Rooted phones give access to many more tools or modifications.  I'm curious about mini-Debian kits for Android and what extra capabilities they offer.

Just wondered if anyone had tips on this or recommended guides.

if you send me your device information I would be glad to write you a lengthy tutorial on how to root your device.  :)
If you're needing assistance feel free to message me.

If you're wanting to get some basic knowledge on who I am, feel free to ask.  In short, I'm just a coder who writes in C (Unix) and Java.  I am also a GNU/Linux advocate.  In my spare time I enjoy doing malware removal as well.  ;)

My Nexus 5 is rooted on stock KitKat 4.4.2 . It is stock because gapps seem to be unstable on CM 11.
