I am guessing you needed to enable a repository in order to find the software you were looking for. Some distributions will have things already enabled to make it easier on users where other developers take more of a "hands on" approach. BTW... when using ubuntu based systems, I prefer synaptic for running updates. My computer at work and Mum's machine run xubuntu. One thing that helps me is that I made a lot of videos... If I forget something I learned, I have video documentation I made to teach me what I did in the past... I know that may sound weird, but I re-learn things from my own video pool.

The Distro was PCLinuxOS. The package name for simple screen recorder is: SSR.  If you search for that package by name on that distro you will need to type in SSR.  What I didn't know about synaptic is that changing this setting makes a huge difference in search.  I never noticed it before.  Often times it's the most obvious things that my brain doesn't see.

Just for fun.  Here is screenshots of my failed search attempts.

Real Hardware: Linux Mint 20.1 XFCE, PCLinuxOS XFCE
VirtualBox:  ArchLabs

The bluetooth is for communication with the guitar amplifier. The software is useless without the amp. That would be a novel idea to transmit a signal from the guitar via bluetooth but I am not aware of any devices that do that. For wireless you might opt for something like this:

Spatry, you realy burn those strings.

Let's zoom in on that image
In case you wonder, it takes about 300 lines of C code and a Gtk3 library to place Spatry in a progress bar app.
