« on: December 15, 2019, 07:01:11 AM »
Hello , I'm happy your back online cup of Linux .
I installed Arch and use the zen-installer and it works perfect .
I have a fully working cinnamon .
I had to read and learn a lot and do it all by myself but it pay off .
And now it's learning time and the zen-installer is really good .
Greetings

Nice to see you back, Benny.

Zen is convenient for those who know how to build Arch and just want a quick way to install arch without having to spend a day manually installing everything. I keep a copy of the zen installer and use it as a rescue stick for Arch derivatives. I would not suggest this to novices, unless they are curious and just want to mess about on old hardware.

Newcomers: I still say that building Arch the Arch way is the best route to take, see my 2019 install video on my channel.
Windows assumes the user is an idiot... Linux DEMANDS Proof!

Hi Spatry
Thanks for your reply and look a lot to your video’s and see the install 2019 arch a couple of times .
My installed cinnamon desktop works good and till know i have no problems .
I install it on disk , one partition , i use grub ,i hate that eufie thing and turn it off in my bios .
I always do backups so i don’t loose any stuff .
if i install again i will try it the Arch way but now i keep it for a while , it run so good .
I use terminal commands like ; -Syu  -Syy  -Sc  -Scc   -R  -Rns  -Ss  -S most of the time .
i go a lot to the Arch wiki but stay away from there forum , i come to cup of linux to ask it .
Greeting and Wish you all a Merry Christmas
