Any plans to bring the Forum back to life?

First, I'd like to say that i'm glad to see you back Spatry!

Sadly, a lot of people have obviously left during your absence. My question is, do you have any plans to try to bring people back and make this place lively again?

Haha, I understand that. You did do a good job at keeping people here, but a lot of people did leave.

Unfortunately true. I'm betting once Spatry's channel gets going on YouTube once he has new equipment, we'll start to see the community thrive again. Even just the word that Spatry is back on the forums has brought a lot of people back that we haven't seen in months. It'll take time.

I've asked him what he needs to at least repair what he has, haven't heard back yet.
If you must persist, I will be forced to tar you, then gzip you and finally umount you.

Has the forum picked up since this post was created?  It doesn't feel like it but I'm not on here as often as some of you are.

It varies... sometimes, there is lots of activity on the forum, other times NOT... the fact of the matter is that there are a bunch of LURKERS who read this site's contents but choose not to participate in discussions.

A lot of those unregistered users lurking could also be web-crawlers.

Also, I think the forum is certainly more active than when I posted this. not as active as it was was in 2015 though.

The forum seems to have picked up. I left shortly after Spatry was no longer online.  At that time, most of the messages were 'Where's Spatry?'

I was a 'lurker' for a while, popping in to see if anything new was happening, but now I log in every day - there's been some interesting articles.

What we all can do is shout out about Spatry's Cup of Linux on Facebook, Twitter or any other social media that you personally are part of.  This forum is far too important to let slide.  Along with the Manjaro Linux Forum, I consider Cup of Linux a valuable source of Linux information.

Thank you Frank for adding some constructive insight to this thread... in the early days of the show, I used facebook and twitter... I left because of SPAM and abuse, now I do not use social media. For those of you who do, I encourage sharing the Cup of Linux brand with friends and family.
