Regarding the (Linux) Ubuntu Mumble install instructions, the version which comes with the newest (16.04) LTS (X)Ubuntu is 1.2.12-1, however, there is a (release) PPA available @

& also, there are these instructions available at their website, for Debian, Ubuntu & other Debian/Ubuntu-based [apt-get]:

Sometimes the distribution maintainers will opt for an older version of a software rather than use the most cutting edge version available. For those on Ubuntu systems who want the latest release this option is a good one. Thanks for your contribution.
