@ Coastie, seems like "Octopi" should be a good choice for someone knew to arch-based distro's.But when i read that you are in search for a beginner friendly distro i don't think that it is a wise diccision to go with Arch-based.
If coastie has some technical know-how, I would actually encourage trying out Manjaro. It is not that hard to learn and the terminal commands are easier than what you would issue in Ubuntu IMHO!
Not sure about the Terminal use but your Colopsys Manjaro may be my first step up in difficulty level distro. I know I am not ready for Arch.Still wonder if Colopsys have the Manjaro GUI updater and notifier or at least one like in "Install Update - Terminal" like in Linux Lite?
Unfortunately I could not get a CD sized ISO. It will be 1.2gig. YES PAMAC comes standard with Manjaro XFCE so that is what you will be getting
Sounds fine to me.I don't think that there are many modern distros that still fit (or even try to fit) on a CD these days anyway. Don't most folk use USB sticks now?...will Colopsys copy to USB okay with unetbootin?
