I know you have discussed this before but I just want to make sure that you are replacing compiz with Kwin or at least adding kwin to the next MCOLE release. It is necessary. :)
If you ask 12 different people what the best linux distro is to use you will definitely get 12 different answers. Try some and decide for yourself. The quieter you become the more you are able to hear![insert wise signature here].Programming is not an art damn it it's a science.

I have not made a final decision on that yet. Compiz is still working and is being maintained by the Manjaro team members. If I were to include Kwin, that would increase the size of the distribution. I may need to put up a poll so community members can vote on which compositor they want for upcoming MCOLE releases.

The advantage of Kwin is that it works perfectly in a virtual machine

I too, have enjoyed compiz for quite some time, but find kwin to be much less effort to use and still lots of candy. +1

If all goes as planned and I have time to do it, the next "mCOLe" may come in 3 flavors:

1: Base XFCE with my themes and customizations
2: Base XFCE as above + Compiz
3: Base XFCE with KWIN

I have support from community members to help me with building the versions. Each will be available in 32 and 64 bit flavors and they will ship with Manjaro LTS kernels.

More details to follow...
