[DELAYED] Cup of Linux GAMING NIGHT
« on: August 09, 2014, 09:42:26 AM »
WE WILL BE PLAYING Fistful of Frags Saturday August 30, 2014 & September 13, 2014 & September 20, 2014 at 8PM New York time (UTC -5). We will be gaming EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT with the exception of LIVE SHOWS. Details will be mentioned HERE when that happens.
Quote
Fistful of Frags is a Multiplayer based, first person enabled, action packed and skill demanding shooter set in the Wild West times. A unique combination of non stop action and slow but powerful weaponry. It is build with the source-engine and of course MOD-able. A really cool FPS for all wild-west fans and for those that like hilarious but demanding gameplay.

As I already told in the mod-forums, i still don't know when my issue will be fixed. The cable company takes its time... I really hope i can make it in time and i will set up a server ASAP. But again, i really don't know if i can make it.

SERVER IS LIVE! Connect on Mumble tonight to find out how to connect. The SERVER IS UNLISTED. This is a temporary solution until JayVii is able to set one up for the next game nights.

Plenty of fragging went on and many gibs were spread across a number of maps, I really like xonotic fast paced Q3A/UT style.

Although Will spent most of the time hiding in a little hole :P :P

No footage unfortunatly this time, at least not from me was having issues with xonotic and my multi monitor setup.

Yes it was very much fun :)
Though have not enough ressources to record it :/

I suggest playing another game mode on next GN. We played DeathMatch this time, so we should play a team-mode next. maybe Capture The Flag?

I may be able to attempt a screen capture next weekend as I have Xonotic set up in a way that screen captures may be possible on my machine... I did that screencap in my latest video on Zorin at the end where I was playing back footage from Xonotic.

Something has come up and I may not make it in time for tonight's game in time. Setting up multiplayer on Steams game server should not be hard to do though. I will try my best to make it there...

Guys I am having trouble connecting to mumble
has anyone set up. Is it going to happen? I can try to set up a server if necessary.
If you ask 12 different people what the best linux distro is to use you will definitely get 12 different answers. Try some and decide for yourself. The quieter you become the more you are able to hear![insert wise signature here].Programming is not an art damn it it's a science.
