web browser tricks

in this topic you can put browser trick what you found.
i have two tricks for when you use multiple browser windows and many tabs all of those like me.

with this command you can restart chrome address bar:
Code: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
chrome://restartand made shortcut for bookmark bar:
1. press right rat button in bookmark bar and select ADD PAGE...
2. you can name what you want and put restart command to URL line ans save that.

another one is that close browser safely to get back all of them when open chrome again:

Code: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
ctrl+shift+q (Linux/windows)
command+shift+q (mac keyboard in os/linux, but cant test that)

this maybe works firefox and other browser, i'm not tested.
and one to get back closed tab or window accidentally:

Code: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
ctrl+shift+t (Linux/windows)
command+shift+t (mac hardware, but can't test)

this works least chrome and firefox.

Some of the Chrome:// commands might also work on other webkit (engine) based browsers like Opera or Vivaldi. Your mileage may vary...

This one is for firefox. If you don't want the 'other bookmark' in the menu here's how to remove it.

Open userChrome.css. (maybe have to create file if it is not there) (/home/****/.mozilla/firefox/manjaro.default/chrome/userChrome.css
Under @namespace copy/paste this:

/* items in Bookmarks menu */
menu_bookmarkThisPage,
#subscribeToPageMenuitem,
#subscribeToPageMenupopup,
#menu_bookmarkAllTabs,
bookmarksShowAll, #organizeBookmarksSeparator,
bookmarksToolbarFolderMenu,
bookmarksToolbarFolderMenu+menuseparator,
#menu_unsortedBookmarks {
display: none !important;
}

/* items in Bookmarks Menu button (Show your bookmarks) popup */
#BMB_viewBookmarksSidebar,
#BMB_bookmarksShowAllTop, #BMB_bookmarksShowAll,
#BMB_bookmarkThisPage,
#BMB_subscribeToPageMenuitem,
#BMB_subscribeToPageMenupopup, #BMB_subscribeToPageMenupopup+menuseparator,
#BMB_bookmarksToolbar, #BMB_bookmarksToolbar+menuseparator,
#BMB_unsortedBookmarks {
display: none !important;

Save. Close, open firefox to see changes.

It will still save new bookmarks in that 'other' menu so to stop that I use the add-on 'Defaults Bookmark Folder Option' from You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

speaking of userChrome.css and firefox I have an incomplete thought I made a note....
here it is, I'd like to know how to modify a links context menu to include an option to force into reader view;

about:reader?url=%s
Haven't tried yet, but the option seems possible...?
Not looking for an add-on, I don't use any. Really I'd like a script in there somewhere that judges the link for an effective reader view and when it finds this or that irrelevant crap needs loaded first, then flash a quick "this site sucks' and closes the tab and then emails the website admin with a constructive YOU Suck! I'm pretty tired of getting a paragraph of info among the 2MB+ of crap.

i just made clean install to main gaming rig and installed latest firefox as secondary browser along side for google chrome.

i found 3 default themes installed inside firefox, those are default (is default orange theme), dark and light.
those can be found humburger (3 horizontal lines) menu-> ADD-ONS-> THEMES
enable what you use, no need disble old theme, that happens automacally.
