The thinkpad arrived today and the graphics look really crisp.... I am shuffling data around for new data configurations and I am getting ready to install Manjaro on it.... this is my FIRST UEFI machine so lets see how bad I can bork this one up ! MANY MANY THANKS once again, JOE!

I am glad you ended up with a ThinkPad. You will be very happy with it. They are great machines. They also can be upgraded easily, if you ever want ro. They are also very easily repaired if it ever came to it.

I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

Google has the specs... Thinkpad w530 This one has 16 gigs of ram... I will be adding 120Gig ssd drive this week and the DVD drive will swap out for the installed 500G 7200RPM HDD

I think this will make a huge difference and the performance will be amazing!!

Hey Spatry, out of curiosity did you run into any issues with the wireless card out of the box? I'm having to fight to get my Intel Wireless-AC 3165 on my Lenovo Legion Y520 working anytime I hop in-between distros. I don't jump distros very often, so may not be a huge deal. Just want to see if there is any similarity between Lenovo product lines.

I had no driver issues of any kind..... PERIOD! Manjaro fits the W530 like a glove... I only had to disable the intel graphics in Bios and uninstall bumblebee in favor of video-nvidia.
