My Gentoo XFCE4 setup with kwin plasma 5 as my window manager

Why GTK and QT5? Wouldn't that just cause an unnecessary amount of bloat on your system?

Don't forget to 'emerge kvantum' so that you can have matching qt5 and GTK applications... it should not take too long to compile compile compile!

Ya know... Things would be a lot nicer around here if you would quit kissing Spatry's BOTTOM! Comments like these go to his head and then I have to deal with his EGO! <Sigh>

RUMOR CONTROL: Stop the newspaper presses! It looks like Spatry finally kicked Manjaro to the curb by switching to Arch!

This screenshot shows his traditional XFCE desktop. The terminal uses You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login (similar to screenfetch and neofetch) and Powerline-Shell from You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login. Now I am wondering just how long it will take for the Manjaro community to start hurling stones at Spatry for making the switch! I am gonna get some popcorn and enjoy the show!

For how many times I've read Spatry say "go straight to the source" it's about time! Hey, maybe the references were about my favored debian, but if 'buntu is to debian as manjaro is to Arch?...I say follow your own advice!

I will never advise a n00bie to skip Manjaro and head over to Arch UNLESS the person really wants to learn Linux inside and out... Manjaro is designed to be beginner friendly and has tools Arch does not have.... like the settings manager, hardware detection and MORE.

Everyone should have known that was coming when Episode 6 of CLI friendly was an Arch Linux installation tutorial.

I'm not gonna "hurl stones" at Spatry, he can use whatever distro he likes best.

Arch has it's place and Manjaro has it's own. For now, I will stick with Manjaro, because I have enough work fixing the issues I sometimes get updating in Manjaro... taking on the larger array of update issues of Arch just isn't in the cards right now.
